Lauren is a Peterborough based sports therapist and personal trainer, and a graduate of the University of Northampton.
Lauren has had a passion for sports therapy and rehabilitation from a young age and decided early on this was a career path she wanted to pursue. Alongside studies at college Lauren spent a season working closely with a sports therapist at Yaxley Football Club in the United Counties League as an assistant physiotherapist. This allowed Lauren to gain important knowledge and experience of what she would eventually go on to study at University.
Lauren became more determined then ever to continue to peruse her dream of one day running her own sports therapy/injury clinic and working with professional sports teams after experiencing extensive injuries of her own. The help she received from physiotherapists and sports therapists throughout her own rehabilitation only persuaded her to drive on forward to get through her degree.
Whilst at university Lauren spent another year volunteering with St Neots Town Football Club with the 1st team shadowing the head sports therapist and it was here Lauren began to expand and develop, taking the responsibility of looking after the under 21 and under 18 teams. The following year, Lauren worked as head sports therapist at Peterborough Northern Star providing rehabilitation, treatment and pitch side care for the 1st team, reserves, under 18s and the scholarship programme ran by former professional player Dominic Genovese. Lauren was then offered a fantastic opportunity to branch out into professional sports as head sports therapist at Peterborough Panthers Speedway.
In the summer of 2015 Lauren decided it was time to combine her personal training qualifications with her sports therapy degree, and it was then in August 2015 BodyReady Sports therapy and Personal Training was born. Graduating with a 1st class honours degree in June 2016 at the University of Northampton .
Alongside BodyReady Lauren currently works as Head sports therapist at Yaxley Football Club, in the United Counties League Premier division. Head sports therapist at Peterborough Panthers Speedway and Kings Lynn Stars Speedway. Lauren is also gaining further professional sports experience by volunteering as sports therapist in her second season at Peterborough United in the Sky Bet Football League One.
