About Lauren

Lauren is a Peterborough based sports therapist and personal trainer and a graduate of the University of Northampton.

Lauren has had a passion for sports therapy and injury rehabilitation from a young age and decided early on that this was the career path she wanted to pursue. Alongside studies at college Lauren spent a year following a head sports therapist at Yaxley Football Club in the United Counties League as an assistant.

After a serious road traffic accident in 2013 Lauren became even more determined to follow her dream of one day running her own sports therapy/injury clinic. After experiencing treatment from physiotherapists and medical professionals herself she recovered and worked hard to earn a first class honours degree in Sports Therapy. Whilst at university Lauren gained further experience working with St Neots Town Football Club, shadowing the head sports therapist for the first team and also given responsibility of working alone with the under 21 and under 18 squads.
The following year Lauren worked as head sports therapist for Peterborough Northern Star in the UCL, for the 1st team, reserves, under 18s and working with the scholarship programme ran by former professional player Dominic Genovese. Lauren was then offered a fantastic opportunity to work along side professional Speedway team Peterborough Panthers. This gave her a new outlook on sports trauma/injury, and was offered further experience in speedway, both in the premier league with Peterborough and the elite league with Kings Lynn Stars.

In the summer of 2015 Lauren decided it was time to combine her personal training qualifications with her sports therapy work, it was then when BodyReadySTPT was born. Lauren spent another year with Cambridge City as head sports therapist, whilst completing a season working with Peterborough United Football Club as an important part of the medical department/team. In 2016/2017 Lauren continued at Peterborough United FC working as assistant therapist to the first team  whilst also returning for another season with Yaxley Football Club.

Alongside BodyReadySTPT Lauren continues to work as head sports therapist at Yaxley Football Club,  providing sports therapy treatments from the BodyReadySTPT clinic.

BodyReadySTPT aim to provide our clients with an efficient and professional service enabling them to make a full recovery following injury, whether this is sports related or not, every client is provided rehabilitation exercises and plans to follow as part of their treatment.
